ISO 9001 training courses ensure that goods are at the highest possible quality in all areas on commerce across the world. One of the areas that this is most useful is in the food service industry. Here are some of the rules and regulations that help to keep to food you eat in the best possible conditions.

1. Some of the food related microbial hazards include Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157 H7, and staphylococcal enterotoxin all of which can be avoided when the restaurant inquestionhas not only received a food safety certification, but has gone one step further and invested in ISO 9001 training courses.

2. The second form of training that food handlers can receive is Haccp certification training. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point training ensures that food handlers are using the absolute safest and proven effective practices possible. To some this may seem like overkill, but the spread of disease effects millions of people and cost millions more dollars each year and each food service establishment has a responsibility to do their part in preventing it.

3. The third for of certification that food manufacturers can receive is the Food Safety Systems Certification which, though not specifically for the regulation of food handlers, does regulate food manufacturers that process perishable produce, animal products, and products which have long shelf life and are therefore more susceptible to contamination over time.

4. These steps and regulations are not just suggestions that good food manufacturers and food service handlers should abide by, they are also laws. The State of California requires, by law, Food Handler Cards for employees who prepare, store or serve food.

ISO is by no means universal yet, but as of 2010, ISO 14001 was used by at by over 200,00 organizations in more than 150 countries and economies. This number continues to grow every year as the importance of food safety becomes more and more important. To see more, read this: ul-dqsusa.com

it’s so scary to hear this all of this training and stuff isn’t manditory. it should be and even more. my kids eat this food and I don’t like to think that they might be in danger from something as simple and comforting as mac and cheese

i used to work in a place where they used to say that we did all this stuff, but we never actually did. I literally can not go out to eat. I make all my food at home where I know I’m the only one who’s touched any of it.
